“Answer the Call” Charity Rally for Syria outside the Syrian Embassy, 8 Belgrave Square, SW1X 8PH, London, 25th Feb Saturday 12pm – 5pm

In support of the Aid Convoy to Syria.

An opportunity to meet hear stories of suffering, and also take part in the cause. Please bring your blankets, winter jackets and tinned food on the day to be collected for the Syrian Refugees.

This is a community effort bringing together many community leaders from different organisations and masajid, as a means for the community to stand together in support for our brothers and sisters in Syria.

The situation in Syria has come to a climax in the last few weeks with political and military defections, persistent protests and an increasingly brutal crackdown by the regime on those seeking change. Over 10000 Muslims have now been killed by the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad, and many more have been injured and displaced. Nevertheless, the uprising which started in January 2010 and took off from Deraa has now persisted for almost a year and spread to all cities in Syria — a testament the courage of the Muslims of Syria.

Join us to send a strong message of support for our brothers and sisters in Syria and against the brutality and oppression of the Syrian regime.
