Delayed in Algeciras

I was woken up today by the strong sun beaming into our vehicle which started feeling like a greenhouse. It was about 10 o’clock when I woke up and alhumdulillah I don’t feel that tired, considering I went to bed 7 in the morning.

We were hopeful that in the morning we would be catching the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier, however a vehicle on the convoy has been experiencing difficulties and has been delayed. It’s unfortunate, but unavoidable that we’ll not be crossing into Africa today, but inshaAllah we will be catching the ferry in the morning.

On the flip side, it’ll give us an opportunity to clean the inside of our vehicle as it’s an absolute tip and also get a shower if there are any facilities.

Currently we’re stationed in a complex off the A4, junction 112 and I’ve managed to find a WIFI connection, so I’ll be able to keep you all updated and wifey.

Brother Djaloul also asked me to send his family his salams and inform them the he is okay.
