Apologies and reflections

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

I pray this reaches everyone in good health and emaan. I would just like to apologise on behalf of Abu Safiyyah with regards to the send off from White City. Unfortunately it didn’t transpire for various reasons so the convoy joined up with each other at a service station on the M40 and then met the others around White City, after which they made their way to Folkestone to the Euro Tunnel. Alhamdulillah we know that they have reached France safely, keep checking back for more tweets inshaAllah.

SubhanAllah I was thinking today how we are living in such unique times. In the time of the Prophet (saw) and even after him, when the people would go out on expeditions and leave their families behind, they would not hear or see them, until they returned, if they returned. Now we can talk, text, email and even see each other-via webcam! How fortunate we are, imagine how those people felt knowing they would not know how their families are or what has happened to them until they return, they had real emaan, may Allah increase us all in emaan and tawakal al-Allah – trust in Allah, Ameen.

Please remember the those less fortunate than ourselves and be thankful for the bounties Allah has bestowed upon us.

Lastly I would like to thank all those who donated towards the road to hope convoy, however big or small, may Allah multiply it for you and accept it from you, jazakumAllahukhair.

  1. Just like to say that the send off at white city was one of the worst ive seen so far
i think i must have been there on my own, even the people who were on the convoy
could not find the meeting point as it was so closed out and dead, i did text people to turn up, but alahamdulilah they didnt turn up, as thee was nothing to turn up to, next time, it needs a better awarness. may alllah make it easy for al the people who went on the road trip are dua are with you.

  2. assalamalaikum sis, pray tht u an family are well, was wondering if you could update the road to gaza age,so that we can see the convoys current position and route for this journey. jazakallah

    • Wa alaykum assalam wr wb, alhamdulillah all is well, I pray you are well too. Unfortunately I dont think the road to gaza map can be updated, but I will make some enquiries and see if it possible, if not just keep an eye on the latest tweets to see where the convoy is. BarakAllahufik. UmmSafiyyah
