A leg of a journey ahead!
I had a brief chat with hubby today, and he is now in Ancona, Italy, in the town centre. He is hoping to find an internet hotspot to send us a detailed update for today but first it’s time for a halal doner kebab!!
What I managed to get out of him is that the weather has been sunny and mild alhamdulillah. They will be staying there tonight and will be getting a ferry tomorrow, around 4pm, heading to Greece, which should take them two days to reach inshaAllah. So far the journey had been fairly quick, and although two days on a ferry sounds long, it will be a good chance for them to catch up on some sleep to prepare for the mountainous drive ahead especially in Turkey.
It’s starting to get cold as it gets dark and they are staying in a massive car park, with no toilets!! They are also having probs with the starter motor on their mini-bus, so everytime they turn the engine off, they have to push it to get it started again. Take a look at the pictures below.
